About the game
Nine Men’s Morris, the old board game also called Mill. Three pieces in a line make a mill and take one of your opponent’s pieces.
Nine men's morris, also called mill, is one of the oldest board games, played on three nested squares joined by lines. Each player first places nine pieces and then moves them along the lines. Three pieces in a row form a mill, and every mill lets you remove one opposing piece.
Nine Men's Morris belongs to the Board games variant in the Table games world and joined the catalogue on August 25, 2016. The rules, levels and on-screen language are set by the game’s creator, and a short guide appears on its start screen.

How to play
- Take turns placing your nine pieces on free points.
- Once all pieces are placed, move them along the lines to a neighbouring free point.
- Three of your pieces in a line form a mill and let you take an opposing piece.
- You win when your opponent is left with two pieces or no moves.
Three tips for nine men's morris
- Place pieces on crossings, they have the most routes from there.
- Build a position where opening one mill closes another straight away.
- Do not rush pieces into corners, they get trapped easily there.
