About the game
Nikakudori is the Japanese name for mahjong connect, meaning roughly two corner capture. Link two identical tiles with a path that turns no more than twice at a right angle.
Nikakudori belongs to the Connect variant in the Mahjong world and joined the catalogue on August 11, 2025. The rules, levels and on-screen language are set by the game’s creator, and a short guide appears on its start screen.
How to play
- Find two identical tiles.
- Check that a line with no more than two turns can join them through empty space.
- Clear the grid before time runs out, if the game keeps time.
Tips for a better game
- Clear pairs on the edge of the grid first: a line can easily run around the rest of the board.
- Matching tiles that touch can always be joined straight away, so take them.
- When you get stuck, look for a pair the line can reach by running around the outer edge.
