About the game
The classic pencil and paper game. Add a single line between two dots, and whoever closes a box earns a point and another turn. The player with the most boxes wins.
Dots and Boxes belongs to the Board games variant in the Table games world and joined the catalogue on November 5, 2015. The rules, levels and on-screen language are set by the game’s creator, and a short guide appears on its start screen.

How to play
- Add one line between two neighbouring dots.
- When you close a box, you score a point and move again.
- The player with the most boxes at the end wins.
Tips for a better game
- Do not draw the third side of a box, that hands it to your opponent.
- Near the end, count the long chains of boxes, whoever opens them usually loses.
- Sometimes it pays to give away two boxes to keep a longer chain.
