About the game
Classic checkers on the smaller board. Capture your opponent’s pieces by jumping and try to promote one of yours to a king.
Checkers, or draughts, uses the same board as chess but only its dark squares. Pieces move diagonally forward, and you capture an opposing piece by jumping over it. When one of your pieces reaches the far row, it becomes a king and may move backward too.
Checkers belongs to the Board games variant in the Table games world and joined the catalogue on November 5, 2015. The rules, levels and on-screen language are set by the game’s creator, and a short guide appears on its start screen.

How to play
- Move a piece one square diagonally forward.
- Capture an opposing piece by jumping it when the square behind is empty.

Three tips for checkers
- Keep your back row filled as long as you can, it makes kings harder for your opponent.
- Move pieces in groups, a lone piece is an easy target.
